If you haven’t heard of this intimate wedding venue in the Free State, then I hope you will discover this little hidden gem and consider it for your wedding one day! With a small little sandstone chapel, or the option for an outside ceremony and vast fields for photo opportunities, this little venue is definitely a little slice of heaven.
How did you meet and what drew you to each other?
We went to the same school, he was 8 grades above me so we weren’t aware of each other. 12 Years passed and I started working. A mutual friend and my colleague introduced us to each other. We were friends for 4 months. During these 4 months we had endless videocalls where we dreamed of our perfect partners.
FJ arranged a coffee date .What seemed like a one day coffee date ended up in a 2 week visit on his farm. We knew each other 4 days when FJ told me that I am his girlfriend. We were very clear about our expectations from the beginning. There were no games, from the start FJ and I gave our everything we didn’t hold back. We were 100% invested , as if we knew that we’ll get married 2 years later.
What advice would you give other couples still in the planning process?
Remember it’s not about what other people say or think. The most memorable and exciting part of your day is when you say, “I Do.”
Don’t try to impress people, don’t please anyone but yourself. Believe in your wildest and almost impossible expectations for your big day becusse somehow magically everything works out, and it is absolutely perfect. This is your day, you may do what ever you want to.

Was your wedding affected by Covid 19?
Yes, We’ve seen so many weddings being postponed becusse of Covid-19. With the uncertainty of when we’ll have lockdown again. We decided that we are going to host an intimate wedding. It was an absolute blessing. We were able to celebrate with our closest friends and family and we wouldn’t change it in a hundred years.
How did you experience your photographer’s service?
Landi has this incredible natural way of working with people. She always has a plan. I’ve never seen someone more excited about photos of someone else, than Landi on our wedding day. Landi is flexible, adaptable and friendly. We were so comfortable while Landi took our photos.
